ABHA, 27 June — A nine-year-old boy died here after falling into the water tank of a building, which was under construction. Thamer Ali Asiry, a sixth grader, was visiting relatives in Abha with his family members. The accident occurred when he was playing with other kids. Thamer slipped from a wall and fell on to the metal panel covering the empty water tank. The cover gave way under his weight. Thamer’s 20-year-old brother Bandar climbed down the seven-meter-deep tank to help the boy out but it was too late. Thamer was already dead due to suffocation. (AN)
