DAMMAM, 27 June — Students of the Pakistani International School here secured a 93 percent success rate in Secondary School Certificate examinations, results of which were announced yesterday.

Out of 249 students who appeared for the examination, 232 passed — 58 of them in A1 grade, 84 A, 67 B and 23 in C grade. Girls performed marginally better than the boys. Of the 120 girls who appeared, 114, or 95 percent, passed while in the boys’ section only 118, or 91.5 percent, of 129 students passed.

However, the first and second positions were secured by boys — Aamir Ali Bilal with 89.4 percent marks and Atta-ul-Musawwir with 89.2 percent. Ayesha Javid of girls section came third with 88.5 percent. School principal Umar Farooq congratulated the students and teachers on their excellent performance.
