JEDDAH, 1 March — Makkah Governor Prince Abdul Majeed will attend the formal launching of "Bawwabat Al-Haj" or the Haj Portal on the Internet, at the Principality Building in Mina on Saturday after Maghreb prayers. Dr. Fahd ibn Abdul Aziz Al-Tuwaijri, director general of the Hafr Co., which is responsible for developing the website, said the site www.tohajj.com would be a present from the company to the guests of Allah.
Al-Tuwaijri said the site comprises more than 100,000 electronic pages depicting the Haj rites in accordance with the four major schools of jurisdiction. It gives a detailed account of how the Prophet (peace be up on him) performed the Haj. The site provides a large number of audio-visuals illustrating Haj and Umrah rituals and rare pictures of the holy places. The site also contains a special section on women's Haj, fatwas by well-known scholars on Haj-related issues, a glossary of Haj terms, a collection of supplications and invocations of the Prophet, and a list of common errors committed in performing Haj rites.
