JEDDAH, 3 July — The Islamic Development Bank transferred yesterday $30 million to the Palestinian Authority as part of a $180 million aid package approved by the Arab countries at a summit in Amman last October. The IDB has so far paid a total of $385 million from the Al-Aqsa and Intifada funds as emergency aid to the authority. The summit decided to establish two funds worth a total of $1 billion to support the Palestinian people and to safeguard Islamic sanctuaries in the face of Israeli atrocities. (SPA)
