RIYADH, 4 July — Japan’s Trade Minister Takeo Hiranuma arrived here last night on the first leg of a Gulf tour which will also take him to Kuwait, Iran and the United Arab Emirates.
He was received by Planning Minister Khaled Al-Gosaibi.
Hiranuma’s tour is aimed at strengthening ties with Japan’s top four oil-supplying countries, a Trade Ministry official said in Tokyo. (AN)
