JEDDAH, 7 July — The Commerce Ministry’s anti-fraud squad recently seized a large quantity of imitation spare parts for American and Japanese cars. Muhammad Al-Harbi, director of the ministry’s office in Jeddah, told Arab News that the Chinese-made spare parts were distributed in packets labeled “Made in Japan” or “Made in America”. The products entered the market illegally and the traders will be questioned. The ministry had received complaints on proliferation of fake spare parts in the market. — Ahmad Al-Othman
