JEDDAH, 9 July — International Indian School, Jeddah (IISJ) opened its first summer camp on Saturday. Self-study sessions, project work, cultural activities, training in public speaking are some of the features of the camp being attended by over 50 students of the school. Various formal and non-formal educational activities will mark the camp being held daily from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. up to July 20. The program is aimed at providing the students a meaningful avenue to utilize their holidays, according to school Director Iqbal Siddiqui. Providing informal atmosphere for learning and developing self-discipline and leadership qualities are the other objectives of the camp. Chairman of the school managing committee, Abdul Rahim, who opened the camp, said the idea was to provide overall developmental opportunities in a guided manner to the children. Principal S.S.U.
