JEDDAH, 15 July — The Passport Department is to implement with effect from July 22 a Cabinet decision exempting some groups of Saudis and expatriates from paying certain fees and fines, according to Brig. Fahd Al-Dakkan, director of public affairs. The Cabinet decided a few weeks ago that the state would bear the fees of iqamas (resident permits) and exit & re-entry visas of the wives of handicapped Saudis, the charge for the transfer of sponsorship of the sons and daughters of a Saudi woman from her foreign husband (excluding those for jobs) and the fines due on a dead expatriate worker.
