MAKKAH, 22 July  — Adel Abdullah Kaki, chairman of the Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has emphasized the significance of private sector participation in health services and said the chamber would help remove all obstacles faced by private hospitals and clinics in the city.

A special committee has been set up at the chamber to look into the needs and problems of the health sector, he pointed out.

The MCCI chairman was speaking after inaugurating the Jawaid Anwar Clinical Labs which was renovated recently. Kaki toured the clinic in the city’s Mansour district and expressed satisfaction over advanced medical equipment and facilities there. He also viewed laboratory tests being conducted using computers and the latest techniques.

The opening ceremony was attended by a large number of government officials, hospital owners and businessmen. (AN)
