RIYADH, 22 July  — Minister of Agriculture Abdullah Al-Muammar has said that his ministry intends to chalk out new policies for agricultural development in the country to keep pace with the Kingdom’s impending entry into the World Trade Organization. The policy changes will concern agricultural subsidies and financial support to farmers aimed at promoting production and export. The ministry will also study the possibility of setting up food industries that will use local produce as raw material, Al-Madinah newspaper reported yesterday. (AN)
