RIYADH, 24 July  — A Saudi energy company signed a deal with a Russian firm yesterday for transfer of energy technology and import equipment used for generation and transmission of power. Salman Al-Malek, head of marketing and public relations department at the Saudi Raka Group, said his firm sealed the agreement with the Russian EME Company to develop power, metal and heavy industries in the Kingdom. Al-Malek said EME was experienced in railways and could benefit future Saudi rail projects. Raka is investing up to $26.7 million in projects for power, medical equipment, housing and communications.
