DAMMAM, 29 July — High humidity in the Eastern Province has once again weakened the air-conditioning system at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, according to Al-Watan daily. It said the temperature inside passenger lounges was 32 degrees Celsius after humidity in the region reached 90 percent. The failure of the cooling system was causing a lot of discomfort to passengers over the past four days. Dr. Ali Al-Khalaf, chief of the Presidency of Civil Aviation, told a press conference earlier that the air-conditioning system at the airport was functioning normally. Passengers at Jeddah airport have also been complaining about malfunctioning of the cooling system for the past several days. (AN)
