RIYADH, 1 August — A Saudi found guilty of killing his father was beheaded in the Qassim region yesterday, the Interior Ministry announced. It said Awda ibn Salman ibn Salem ibn Motlaq Al-Madhibri killed his father after repeatedly bashing his head with a tent pole. The convicted murderer was also “a drug addict, an alcoholic and a habitual thief”, according to the ministry. He was executed in Buraidah city. (SPA)
