RIYADH, 2 August  — A house owned by a Saudi family in Riyadh’s Al-Salam district caught fire five times during the past 70 days causing material damages worth about SR600,000. None of the residents were injured in the fires that broke out in mysterious circumstances. The fires started in evenings after Maghreb prayers and are first detected in window curtains or bed-sheets. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Fayez, professor of Shariah at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, suspected it might be the work of a jinn.
