JEDDAH, 21 July — A number of Umrah service companies are planning to merge with one another in a bid to cut short their losses and improve services, informed sources told Arab News. The sources said Umrah companies in coordination with their agents abroad are working to receive three million pilgrims this year. Yasser Al-Kholi, executive president of Labbaik company, said the Haj Ministry’s decision to provide Umrah visas until Ramadan 10 would help Umrah firms achieve their targets. The ministry has also allowed Umrah pilgrims to stay in the Kingdom up to Shawwal 15. He said the Umrah companies have started earning revenues from their services to pilgrims.
