MAKKAH, 24 July — The right wrists of Abdul-Rahman ibn Ismael Ali, an Egyptian, and Sher Mohammed Ali Ahmed, an Afghan, were amputated here yesterday after being convicted of picking worshipers’ pockets inside the Holy Haram Mosque. The punishment was endorsed by the Court of Cassation and the Supreme Judicial Council. Subsequently, a royal order was issued to execute the sentences, according to an Interior Ministry statement.
