KARACHI, 4 August — In a dramatic development Senior Vice President of PML (QA) Ejaz-ul-Haq yesterday parted ways with the PML faction and announced he will launch his own political party in the next few days. “I will announce party’s name, manifesto and names of the office-bearers before Aug. 10”, Ejaz told a press conference here. According to political observers, dispute over party presidency and Ejaz’s reservations over the voters’ list, which he repeatedly described as bogus forced him to part ways with the breakaway faction of the PML. He said: “We boycotted PML (QA) elections held on bogus voters’ list” and said that the party now has all the features which make it a ‘drawing room’ entity. He said that PML (QA) was being run by those who had no principles. Ejaz said that despite his repeated requests to the party leadership for holding transparent and fair elections, the voters’ list, which even contained names of those who had died long back, was not updated and he was asked to withdraw candidature in favor of Mian Azhar.
