RIYADH, 14 August — The Riyadh-based King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies and London-based Al-Furqan Foundation for Islamic Heritage are the joint recipients of King Abdallah International Prize for research on Islamic civilization, it was announced here yesterday. The prize, awarded by the Amman-based Al-Beit’ Foundation, was handed over last week to the center’s secretary-general Dr Yahya Mohammed ibn Juneid at a ceremony in the Jordanian capital. The center won the prize for its role in the fields of heritage and linguistic studies. (SPA)
