DAMMAM, 15 August — An Egyptian man convicted of murdering a compatriot and stealing his wallet was beheaded here yesterday, the Interior Ministry said. Al-Hayel Al-Sayed Mohammedain was found guilty of killing Abedin Mahmud Mohammed Mahmud by hitting him on the head with an axe, the ministry said in a statement. In a separate case, two men convicted of theft had their right hands amputated in Makkah yesterday. Afghan national Mohammed Nabi Dawlat Rostum and Ahmad Okash Abdulqader of Syria were found guilty of stealing inside the Grand Mosque.
