NAJRAN, 21 September — Work is under way on an SR76 million technical college in Najran that is expected to help thousands of students from the area to pursue technical education without having to travel to distant areas outside the province.

Najran Governor Prince Mishaal said the establishment of the college, considered a landmark in the region, will be followed by similar projects in future and called on students to benefit from modern technology. Prince Sultan, second deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, laid the foundation stone for the college at a recent ceremony. The college is built on an area of 228,818 square meters and includes sections for general and specialized studies. The subjects offered include computer science, accounting, marketing, electrical engineering and administration techniques. (SPA)
