JEDDAH, 23 September — Here’s a chance for Filipinos in the Western Region who are to still planning to build a house at home to turn their dream into reality.

The Home Development Mutual Fund, better known as the Pag-IBIG Fund, will hold a housing fair/exposition on Oct. 31 to Nov. 1 and a follow-up-on-sale on Nov. 2-5 at the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah.

A press statement issued by Consul General Kadatuan Usop said at least 10 companies engaged in housing projects in Metro Manila and other major urban centers in the Philippines will participate in the weeklong exhibition.

“Low-cost to middle-income housing projects, which are affordable to average overseas Filipino workers, will be the main focus of this fair,” the press statement said.

Model units will be on display, and interested buyers may finalize documentations with the Pag-IBIG Fund and the housing companies, it added.

OFWs based in other parts of the Western Region are all invited to come.

OFWs who are not yet members of Pag-IBIG are encouraged to secure their own future by signing up with the agency during the fair.

Application for membership could also be done during regular work days at the Pag-IBIG section at the Consulate in Jeddah or the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh.

Pag-Ibig also has its representatives in certain Telemoney remittance centers in the Kingdom.

The Pag-IBIG Fund is a government agency in charge of providing loans to registered members who wish to acquire modest homes anywhere in the Philippines.
