NEW DELHI, 10 May 2003 — Urmila Mishra, sister of Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, died at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi yesterday morning. Urmila, 72, was suffering from cancer and was brought to Delhi from Gwalior by Vajpayee on April 28 for treatment. The prime minister visited the hospital in the morning. Her body is being taken to Gwalior by road for cremation. Urmila’s son, Anup Mishra, is a Bharatiya Janata Party legislator in Madhya Pradesh.
