JEDDAH, 15 May 2003 — To give more variety to its already diverse programs, The Filipino Channel (TFC) has launched three new programs.
Kontrobersyal, hosted by Boy Abunda, is the current newsmagazine of ABS-CBN. It is an investigative report-based program that touches controversial issues in politics, famous personalities, and intriguing and sensational events. The program, shown at 11:20 p.m. on Saturdays in the Kingdom, premiered last Saturday.
For OFWs who are thinking of putting up a business in the Philippines, Kumikitang Kabuhayan, hosted by Peter Musngi, is their kind of show. The program will feature small and start-up businesses, new and aspiring entrepreneurs, use of affordable and readily available materials and resources for new ventures, among other topics. First shown at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, the program is to be aired five times a week.
For those who missed the love tandem of Kristine Hermosa and Jericho Rosales, Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas, a new soap opera starring the duo, will premiere on May 24, a Saturday, at 5 p.m. Marvin Agustin and Kaye Abad will also be in the program, adding more twist and struggle to this new soap opera.
“With these three new programs, we hope to bring variety to our subscribers, them being ‘ka-pamilya’ of ABS-CBN,” Nonoy Velo Jr., ABS-CBN regional manager, told Arab News.
