RIYADH, 25 May 2003 — Top security chiefs from Gulf Arab states are due to meet here today to review their anti-terrorism plans and coordinate efforts, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported yesterday.
The intelligence heads of the six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states will also discuss ways to “exchange information between the Gulf security agencies with the aim to combat terrorism,” the daily said.
The paper, quoting security sources in Kuwait, said the meeting would focus on “working out appropriate plans and step up monitoring and hunting of suspects.”
The GCC held a bi-annual summit on Wednesday and condemned the deadly terror attacks in Riyadh and the Moroccan city of Casablanca.
