RIYADH, 26 May 2003 — A small Saudi airport near the border with Iraq was reopened for normal traffic on Saturday after almost three months of closure because of the US-led war on Baghdad, Saudi Arabian Airlines said yesterday.

Arar airport was closed in the first week of March ahead of the US-British war on Iraq launched on March 20. Saudi Arabia has denied speculation that the airport was closed because US troops were landing there to take part in the war.
