KHARTOUM, 5 June 2003 — The Sudanese government handed over the Saudi Arabian authorities the 17 Saudis who were detained by the security forces in Kardavan province on charges of carrying weapons. A source at the Saudi Ministry of the Interior told the Sudanese daily Al-Rai Al-Am yesterday the persons were handed over on Monday in accordance with an extradition agreement between Sudan and Saudi Arabia.
