RIYADH, 8 June 2003 — Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, promised yesterday that the perpetrators of the Riyadh bombings would be punished. Addressing senior commanders of the Royal Guards and a group of citizens, the crown prince said the bombers who carried out the May 12 attacks had deviated from the Islamic faith. “Those who sympathize with them will be counted among them,” he added.
