JEDDAH, 12 June 2003 — A two-day Saudi-Emirates forum on quality applications in the government sector will be held on June 17 in Jeddah under the auspices of Makkah Governor Prince Abdul Majeed and hosted by the Saudi Geological Survey (SGS) in conjunction with the Saudi Council for Quality in the Western Region.

SGS President Dr. Muhammad Asaad Tawfiq said the objective was to serve the community through the development of highly active programs in such areas as services, communication and government administration.

“We want to benefit from the UAE experience in this regard. The great challenges facing development over the coming decades call on us to take steps to develop our productive capabilities and achieve a qualitative leap in performance.”
