RIYADH, 18 June 2003 — A Saudi citizen convicted of murdering a compatriot was beheaded in the capital Riyadh yesterday. Mendeel ibn Attiya ibn Sudan Al-Zahrani was executed for shooting to death Saeed ibn Atwan ibn Saleh Al-Zahrani during a row and then using his car to run over the man’s dead body, the Interior Ministry said.
