JEDDAH, 26 June 2003 — At its headquarters here, the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), in collaboration with the World Trade Organization (WTO), will hold a three-week course on trade policy for OIC member countries from June 28 until July 16. The course is an integral part of the IDB’s WTO-related technical assistance program aimed at capacity building in the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) member countries in WTO-related matters. The technical assistance program is mandated by the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation under the OIC. In addition to the trade policy courses, it also includes seminars, workshops and consultative meetings prior to the WTO ministerial conferences.
