TORONTO, 28 June 2003 — Carlos Delgado hit a pair of homers and drove in five runs as the Toronto Blue Jays mauled the Baltimore Orioles 13-8 in American League action on Thursday.
Delgado leads the American League in home runs with 25 and the major leagues in RBI with 86. The final RBI was the 900th of his career as he helped the Blue Jays salvage a split of the four-game series.
Tom Wilson went four-for-four for the Blue Jays and also homered, while Vernon Wells added three hits and drove in a pair of runs while extending his hitting streak to 18 games.Frank Catalanotto and Chris Woodward both had two hits and drove in a run for the Blue Jays, who had 15 hits while scoring six runs in the first inning.

In Arlington, Tim Hudson pitched a three-hit shutout over seven innings and the Oakland Athletics pounded out 15 hits to beat the Texas Rangers 13-0.

In Minneapolis, Mark Buehrle tossed a complete-game five-hitter to lead the Chicago White Sox to a 5-1 win over the Minnesota Twins.

In Cleveland, Jose Lima pitched seven strong innings to lead the Kansas City Royals past the Indians 4-1.
Lima (2-0) surrendered one run on five hits over seven innings.

In Anaheim, Edgar Martinez and Bret Boone homered to lead the Seattle Mariners past the Angels 10-6. Martinez had three hits and drove in a pair of runs for Seattle, while John Olerud had two hits and drove in a run.

In Chicago, Mark Prior struck out 16 batters in eight innings but didn’t get a decision as the Milwaukee Brewers scored three times in the ninth inning to edge the Chicago Cubs 5-3 in National League action on Thursday.
Geoff Jenkins belted a three-run homer in the top of the ninth, his fourth in as many games, to spoil the day for Prior, who was dominating as he set a major league high this season for strikeouts in a game.
Prior allowed two runs on four hits and didn’t walk a batter, but Joe Borowski (1-1) allowed three runs on two hits in the ninth to take the loss.

In New York, rookie Dontrelle Willis pitched seven solid innings for his seventh straight win as the Florida Marlins beat the Mets 6-1.

In Atlanta, Randy Wolf pitched six solid innings to lead the Philadelphia Phillies past the Braves 8-1.
Wolf (9-3) allowed one run on three hits with five strikeouts and four walks.

In St. Louis, Jim Edmonds homered and drove in four runs as the Cardinals beat the Cincinnati Reds 11-7.
Tino Martinez also homered and had three hits and three RBI for the Cards, while Albert Pujols added four hits.
Bo Hart had three hits and drove in a run for St. Louis. Woody Williams (10-2) allowed seven runs on 10 hits over six innings for the win. Jimmy Anderson (1-5) was tagged for 11 runs on 15 hits in just five innings to take the loss.
