DAMMAM, 4 July 2003 — Saudi Arabian Airlines and Gulf Air have signed an agreement to operate joint flights between Dammam and Katmandu, Dammam and Abu Dhabi and between Riyadh and Muscat starting July 15. Dr. Khaled Bin Bakr, director-general of Saudi Arabian Airlines, and James Hogan, chief executive officer of Gulf Air, signed the agreement. Hogan said the agreement was an important step for Gulf Air, the first GCC carrier given permission to operate direct international flights from a Saudi Arabian airport.
