Arabian Drilling Company is to upgrade its collaborative commerce platform using applications from J.D. Edwards’ family of products. Arabian Drilling Company is to replace its existing enterprise software solution with J.D. Edwards’ newer and more comprehensive OneWorld® XE solution.

“Managing the day-to-day operations of oil rigs across the Kingdom — often in remote areas — means we need the most reliable business solutions available on the market to ensure that all of our sites remain connected and kept up-to-date with essential data,” said Krishna Raja, management information systems administrator, Arabian Drilling Company.

Established in 1964, Arabian Drilling Company, based in Al-Khobar, has earned a strong position in the oil sector, where it specializes in drilling, servicing and managing a significant number of onshore and offshore oil wells.

“We’re delighted that Arabian Drilling Company — which has such a high reputation in its industry — is choosing to expand its relationship with us,” said Tim Caulkett, regional director, Middle East, J.D. Edwards. “The oil industry is a fast-paced, highly challenging environment in which to work, and we’ve designed our architecture to provide robust, reliable support for executives dealing with these highly-challenging conditions.”

J.D. Edwards is a leader in collaborative enterprise solutions, working with many of the Middle East’s leading companies. Providing ongoing support for long-standing clients like Arabian Drilling Company was one of the key business reasons behind the launch of its regional headquarters in Dubai earlier this year.
