RIYADH, 11 July 2003 — Host team Jeraisy Group piloted the league’s win-loss statistics with 5-1 in the sixth week of action of the Jeraisy Group of Companies Inter-Company (Bonafide) Basketball Tournament being held at the Jeraisy Staff Compound Basketball Court, Exit 7 — back of Al-Imam University, Riyadh.

The Zahran Company and Pizza Hut teams followed with 4-1 record with Kudu at 3-1.

The Seder team of Jojo Luyun and Edwin Iraola headed by Julius Morales, Mico del Prado and Rod Paraiso opened the match dominating the scoring department. But the Zahran team of Aris Beltran banked on the abilities of its quartet (Arnel Ardamoy, Benjie Enriquez, Jess Ritualo and Choie Ordaneza) with Anton Castaloni and led Zahran to an 82-76 win.

In the game between Pizza Hut and Golden Grass, Coach Jojo Ben used his experience to swing the momentum in their favor through his agile cagers Nante Garcia, Julius Babao, Riz Morales, Dave Mallari and Larry De Guzman converting 29 points against 12 points of Golden Grass and concluding the ballgame with a 64-55 score.

Jessie Uy, Gil Gallego, Allan Mendoza, and Proceso Rivera of Mashar managed to counter Jeraisy’s scoring spree but the tandem of Alex Cerro and Michael Tamayo, along with Jeffrey dela Cruz, Cruz Placencia, and Lito De Dios gave the host team the opportunity to use its inside and outside weapons, winning 83-54 at the close.
