Al-Fadil inherits from the previous management SR2.7 million, with SR1.8 million coming from the transfer of Egyptian professional Mohammad Barakat to Al Arabi of Qatar.
The estimated budget for the season is 19.7 million, and the club has a debt of SR6 million, explained the new Vice President Abdul Mohsin Al-Dawood.
Al-Fadil, in a interview, said: “I will be concentrating more on investment and management issues, with all football matters being handled by Tarek Khayal.”
Khayal was recently appointed as the head man for all soccer related activities in the club.
Khayal said: “I have a major responsibility, and I will do my best to keep Ahli’s colors flying high. I know that all will cooperate and assist in shaping the Ahli team for the forthcoming tournament in Abha and hopefully the team will retain the title for the third time in a row.”
