RIYADH, 18 July 2003 — The Evening Stars-3, captained by Arnold Bellen, and playing at their best, put Nak Park’s lights off, 22-4 in the 3rd week of the RSNF-Bukabin Friday Bowling League being played at Hotel Inter-Continental Bowling Center.
Yuli Braganza, a veteran bowler, caught fire in the third game and scored a record-breaking 237 scratch pinfalls adding to his 182,199 and 180 in previous games.
With a handicap of 60 added to his output in 4 games, he thus became the Bowler of the Week.
Mario Rosal, a veteran bowler himself, added to his team’s output with 779 and Leo Mabunga came up with 767. Chat Sonias, an upcoming female bowler, added 700 and lifted her team to the Team of the Week award.
In other matches, Fesscor Keglers, captained by Gerry Austria, overpowered the Guess team of Omar Pasky, 22-12. RSNF Navy Seals of Aldrin Alvarado sealed off RSNF Bukabin of Danny Umbao 16-10. The Fathi team of Wilson Bacala blanked out the team of Wheng Lloren’s Red Butterfly, 12-0 and The Bahariyah of Mhel Alvarez drowned the Navy Masters 12-8.
