JEDDAH, 22 July 2003 — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahad yesterday received the newly appointed public security chief Lt. Gen. Saeed Abdullah Al-Qahtani. King Fahd urged Gen. Al-Qahtani and his staff to do their duty and serve the country and the people. Al-Qahtani thanked the king for his trust and said he and his staff would work to the best of their ability.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faisal yesterday called for a common Arab position on the situation in Iraq, saying it was an issue that concerned the entire Arab nation. Saud spoke to reporters after a meeting with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Cairo which focused on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and developments in Iraq.
