RIYADH, 25 July 2003 — The Fathi bowling team and Benny Quebral of the RSNF-Bukabin team clinched the Team of the Week and the Bowler of the Week honors in the fourth week of the First RSNF-Bukabin Friday Night Bowling League at the Inter-Continental Hotel Bowling Center.
The Fathi team mentored by Wilson Ringor dismantled RSNF-Bukabin by earning 18 points against 4 points collected by the RSNF-Bukabin. Fathi crowned themselves as the Team of the Week and clinched the top post among the competitors with 58 total earned points.
Top scorer was Ed Resurrecion with 742 followed by Edgar Buenaventura with 505, Rene Layug scored 589 and Faraj Bisher added 568, all in three games. Wilson Bacala scored 404 in two games. Benny Quebral of RSNF-Bukabin team, snatched the Bowler of the Week title but the effort was not enough to outscore the Fathi team although he was supported by Ver Cayago with 709, Mansour de Guzman with 665, Pol Lobo with 642 and Fred Dilap who scored 432.
In the other matches, third week leader Fesscor Keglers was drowned by the RSNF Navy Masters, 12-2. Top pacers for the team was Toto Villalba with 687, followed by Sammy Sahagun with 637 and team captain Bobby Fererra added 635.
Red Butterfly of Kia Morido, playing one of their best games ever, flew above the team of Nak Park, 10-6.
The Navy Seals, mentored by Aldrin Alvarado, humbled Bahariyah of Mhel Alvarez, 16-0, with Tony Miranda as the top scorer with 761. Evening Stars-3 of Arnold Bellen, one of the leading contender in this league, outshone the Guess team of Omar Pasky, 14-12.
Meanwhile, The FOBR Monday Night Regulated Bowling League supported by House of Donuts and OFWBR is all set to open on Aug. 18 at the Riyadh Inter-Continental Hotel Bowling Center.
A total of 14 teams have confirmed participation in this event organized by the newly elected officers of the FOBR.
