JEDDAH, 27 July 2003 — A Kuwait delegation headed by the Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, deputy prime minister and interior minister, arrived here yesterday and were met by Interior Minister Prince Naif, Deputy Interior Minister Muhammad ibn Naif and Information Minister Fouad Al-Farsy.
The delegation, which also incudes Foreign Minister Dr. Muhammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, was expected to discuss cooperation between the countries on major issues, especially the ongoing war against terrorism and measures to counter terrorist sleeper cells in both the countries.
The two countries are likely to exchange information on the May suicide attacks on three residential compounds in Riyadh, and the recent discovery of a terrorist cell and confiscation of a large cache of weapons and other north of Riyadh, Qasim and the Eastern Province. The raid foiled planned attacks on vital installations.
