JIZAN, 29 July 2003 — A man who was barely conscious and with bruises all over his face and body told the authorities that he had been attacked by his angry wife, Al-Watan reported. He said she attacked him after he refused to take her and their children to a nearby city to visit her family. Since he could not afford to buy plane tickets, he had no choice but to refuse. Evidently his wife did not believe him and in the middle of the night she jumped on him and beat him up.
