DAMMAM, 29 July 2003 — Last week on her first night with her new husband, a woman was rushed from the hotel the couple was staying in to a nearby hospital after complaining of severe abdominal pain, Al-Watan said. At the hospital, a doctor diagnosed appendicitis and said that an immediate operation was necessary. The unfortunate groom spent his wedding night at the door of the operating room, while his even more unfortunate bride was being operated on.
