JEDDAH, 31 July 2003 — A woman in Tabuk convinced her husband to take a second wife, the woman’s best friend, Okaz reported. The woman said she wanted to help her friend, a divorcee, and kept urging her husband to take her as a second wife. After making sure his wife was serious, the husband agreed to his wife’s request. The couple have been married for ten years and have several children. The new bride insisted all the family live under one roof, the first wife agreed, but left the house temporarily to allow the newly wed couple to enjoy their honeymoon.
