DAMMAM, 1 August 2003 — In the EPECA Cricket knockout Cup finals, Senddex XI defeated Kanoo by 17 runs and lifted the coveted trophy.

Kanoo won the toss and sent Senddex to bat. Senddex lost 3 quick wickets With the score at 15. The fourth-wicket partnership between Javed and Shabbir built up their innings which helped Senddex score 72 runs in the allotted 10 overs. For Kanoo, Amer took 3 wickets.

Kanoo Cricketers were chasing the reachable target of 72, but lost both the openers in the first over.

Kanoo batsmen could not maintain the required average run rate and at the end were able to make 55 runs.

For Kanoo, Amer scored 20 while for Senddex, Zubair took 2 wickets for 9 runs. Amer of Kanoo was judged as man of match.

Tournament committee awarded the Best batsman prize to Mohideen of Masters CC, Best Bowler to Ibrahim of Senddex, Best Wicketkeeper to Javed of Senddex, Best Fielder Iqbal of Senddex and Man of the Tournament to Mohideen of Masters CC. Also, a special award was given to him for hitting the highest number of sixes in this knockout cricket tournament.
