JEDDAH, 4 August 2003 — Pakistan’s Minister of Water and Power Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has expressed “complete satisfaction” on the progress of projects being carried out by the National Power Construction Corporation (NPCC) in Saudi Arabia.

He made the comment while inspecting various sites on the Makkah-Taif Road where NPCC is building a 380-kv overhead transmission line.

During the inspection, he was briefed about various other overseas ventures of the company. NPCC Managing Director Ijaz Malik. said NPCC has been carrying out operations in the Kingdom since 1977. He said it is the first organization of its kind owned by the government of Pakistan and enjoys special privileges.
