RIYADH, 9 August 2003 — The Riyadh-based Al-Faisaliah Hotel, owned by the King Faisal Foundation, has been named as having one of the best suites in the world by the New York-based Elite magazine, according to Al-Faisaliah’s regional vice president, Alphy Johnson.

The Hotel was nominated as the Kingdom’s representative from the Middle East hotel industry and fought off an array of competitors to win the top prize for its “Royal Suite,” he said.

“Elite Traveler magazine is read by a large international audience across the globe, and to have been chosen as having the top suite by their extremely discerning readership is a tremendous honor for both The Al-Faisaliah Hotel and the King Faisal Foundation, particularly as there was a fierce competition from over 50 international luxury hotels,” Johnson said.

The hotel is operated by Rosewood Hotels from Dallas.
