JEDDAH, 13 August 2003 — India is celebrating its 57th Independence Day on Friday, Aug. 15. On this occasion, a flag hoisting ceremony will be held at 8 a.m. at the Indian Embassy, Diplomatic Quarters, Riyadh. Indian Ambassador Kamaluddin Ahmed will hoist the national flag. A flag hoisting ceremony will also be held at 7:30 a.m. at the Consulate General of India premises, Madinah Road, Jeddah. Syed Akbaruddin, the consul general of India, will hoist the national flag. All India nationals are invited to attend. (JA)
