RIYADH, 22 August 2003 — The Kudu team of Orly Casimero, Aries Quiambao, and Wowie Din set another win record at the expense of the Host Team in the continuing games of the semifinal round of the Jeraisy Group of Companies Inter-Company (Bonafide) Basketball Tournament being held at the Jeraisy Staff Compound Basketball Court, Exit 7, Riyadh.
Ador Aguinaldo dominated the board through his shooting and rebounding skills, while Noel Sabordo showed his fancy passes which created easy baskets.
Coach Rico Malaluan this time utilized Ronald Lutrania. who played an excellent ballgame.
The combined efforts of Jeraisy’s ace cager Michael Tamayo along with Cruz Placencia, Ronald Lutrania, Alex Cerro and Allan Villaver could not neutralize the tough defense of their counterparts (Aries Sarmiento, Jimmy Franco, Rey Sillo, Manuel Calma and Allain Catalan) experiencing their second loss, 69-56.
The Pizza Hut team of Coach Jojo Ben beat Zahran team of Arnel Ardamoy’s 74-63 with Joseph Abasolo, Ronald Naperi, and Arthur Gabon topscoring with 27, 15, and 10 points respectively.
For Zahran, Benjie Enriquez contributed 17 points, 10 rebounds.
The league is closely coordinated by Riad Siblini, Ed Tamayo, Larry Gabuni, Ernie dela Cruz and is being officiated by the FCBR referees group. Chito Solis is serving as the anchorman.
