RIYADH, 29 August 2003 — A Saudi transportation company carried 120,000 vehicles to more than 30 different cities in the Kingdom and neighboring countries during the summer vacation. “Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Jordan and Turkey are emerging as new terminals for transportation trucks,” Muhammed Al-Bassami, the owner and chairman of Al-Bassami International Group, told Arab News. He said the total volume of the car transportation market in the Kingdom has reached over SR1 billion and was set to increase by 10 percent over the previous season.
