JEDDAH, 29 August 2003 — Police in Madinah arrested on Wednesday an African AIDS patient who had run away from the city’s Meeqat Hospital last week, Al-Madinah daily reported yesterday. A security source told the Arabic paper that Muhammad Baba, the 19-year-old patient, would face investigations before deportation. The Nigerian patient, whose legs were chained, had found a way out through the hospital’s dilapidated toilet without the knowledge of the security guards.
