JEDDAH, 5 September 2003 — The defending champions, Dove Bar displayed their winning form in the 3rd week of the All Filipino Tenpin Bowling League (AFTBL) organized by the Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Jeddah (FTBJ) at the Jeddah Lanes Bowling Center.

They recorded an impressive 41 big points to snatch the No. 1 position after the third week of action through the performances of Jess Pineda, Nap Patayan, Joey Salvador, Edwin Ronquillo and Mar Cabrera. Topscoring was Pineda with 623 series, with a game high of 262.

Patayan and Salvador followed with a separate series of 618 and 610. Ronquillo posted a series of 591, rolling a high game of 235 while Cabrera had a series of 575. Dove Bar registered a total team series handicap of 3095 pinfalls.

Tetra Pak bowling team collected 33 points through the games of Rudy Valenzuela who toppled a series of 604.

Rodell Ricafort and Ruben Medina rolled a series of 590 and 573 in three outings while Bonnie Garcia and Bert Tuvera carded 547 and 511.

A total of overall team series handicap of 2,918 were tallied by Tetra Pak.

Saudia Wings and the Al-Husseini & Co.-Seiko team keglers produced an identical 29 points and topscoring for Saudia Wings was Danny Manriza with 561 points, followed by Nonie Yap (551), Ed Karganilla (529), Ed Labuac (513) and Alex Flora (494).

For the Al-Hussaini Seiko team, the leading point makers were Eddie Tuico (590), Bien Hermosura (536) and Vic Santos (507). Leo Laygo and Obie Ycasas had a separate series of 493 and 453 in three games.

A total of 25 points was generated by the SkyFreight Forwarders with Hero Garcia tallying 583 series in three outings.

Rene Santiago and Danny de Guzman compiled 558 and 535 points while Rod Morales and Cris Villavelez got a series of 541 and 526.

Gandour Yamama poured 23.5 points through the combined efforts of Terry Naorbe (600), Johnny Estacio (528), Adrian Abrenica (493), Rey Pormilda (487) and Mel Yabut (437).

Larry Santos fired a series of 615 to help SDC Kohler post 22.5 points. Along with Santos were Raul delos Reyes (534), Boy Casio (527), Pris Calidro (500) and Roger Daquioag (497).

Picpa Pro garnered 20 points through Lindo Villanueva who toppled a series of 603. Jun Pilipina sparked 574 points while Paul Antiporda, Emil Payongayong and Benjie Domado contributed a separate series of 519, 513 and 502.

Lux Progress, Saudi Pearl Insurance and Cali Sparkling Drink teams snatched a separate 17, 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Zaldy Parinas, Jun Lasaga and Fred Mangondato led Lux Progress with a separate series of 550, 548 and 543.

For Saudi Pearl Insurance, leading was the duo of Rene Martinez (554) and Angel Decena (534).

Rally Zamora led Cali Sparkling Drink with 528 series followed by Mao Orolfo (526), Abet Sarte (524) and Val Magsino (522).
